The City of London Corporation (Open Spaces) Bill has been considered by an Unopposed Bill Committee appointed for that purpose. The Committee met at 12 noon on Wednesday 13 December. The Committee began its consideration of the Bill and adjourned to a later date. The Committee met again at 1pm on 31 January 2018. The Bill was reported without amendment.

The Senior Deputy Speaker had asked for certain questions to be answered prior to the Committee's second meeting.  Three sets of questions and answers are available under 'Bill documents' (see the tab on the left hand side of this page).

Government reports

The Government is required to make a report on the promoters’ statement of compatibility with the European Convention on Human Rights as soon as the bill has received a first reading. If the Government wishes to make its views about the provisions of a bill known it does so by making one or more further reports which are considered by a Committee on the Bill in the House to which the report is made.
