This Opposed Bill Committee was appointed specifically to consider the City of London Corporation (Open Spaces) Bill.  The meeting of the Committee took place on Tuesday 15 November 2016.  The Committee heard evidence from the Promoters of the Bill and from the remaining petitioner against the Bill.

The petition can be viewed here: Petition no. 1 The Kennel Club and Edward Hayes, Melissa Cradock, Nikki Cummins, Ella Brough, David Robson and Lorraine Gibbons. 

At its meeting in November 2016 the Committee agreed the Bill subject to amendment of Clause 12 in line with the petitioner's request. The Committee reconvened on Wednesday 22 February to discuss this further. The Committee reported the Bill to the House with amendments.
