Following agreement by both Houses on the text of the Bill it received Royal Assent on 8 April. The Bill is now an Act of Parliament (law).
Summary of the Bill
The Bill will place a duty on sunbed businesses to prevent use of sunbeds by under-18s and to provide for local authority enforcement of this duty. It gives Ministers powers to make regulations imposing further conditions on commercial sunbed use. These include requirements for supervision, provision of information on health risks, and eye protection.Stay up to date
